Soucouyant
The fiery apparition of a Soucouyant is that of a woman who sheds her skin, changes into a ball of fire and sucks the blood of her victims while they sleep. To catch her - sprinkle salt in her skin so that she cannot put it on again or sprinkle rice/salt around her bed. She must pick up every single grain before daylight or die.
