Doubles
The Trinidad and Tobago doubles has its origins with the East Indian Indentured Labourers. It has evolved into a local street food consisting of two 'barras' (small East Indian fried bread), channa and chutney.

Douens
Douens cry "Hoop, Hoop" on moonlit nights as they tempt children to leave their homes and enter the forest. They are the spirits of children who died before being baptized. They never grow tall, their feet are turned backwards, they have no faces and they are sexless.
