Mirage won Band of the Year in the 1994 carnival competition.
Male costume consisting of a standard, djebellah and cape and costume. The standard is a tall silver palm tree. The Arabic djebellah or hooded cloak is white, very long, gold fringed at the end, converting to a cape that has a blue, red and gold patterned border that looks American Indian or Mexican. The djebellah is held in place by the Arabic styled gold braid with blue beads on the forehead. The costume consists of a pair of blue bathing trunks over which is a red and gold striped belt with a round gold buckle and from which hangs a narrow white ankle length loincloth that is attached to each ankle, forming a blousy effect.
