Mirage won Band of the Year in the 1994 carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a head piece and suit. It depicts the fruit produced by cactus found in deserts and the meaty centres of which are mixed with sugar to make "cactus candy". The head piece is a replica of the cactus plant attached to a helmet. The suit is a one piece black, asymmetrical bathing suit with the pattern of the red cactus flower. A spiky green cactus is attached to one hip. The costume is completed by the red and black armbands and a string of beads carried by the masquerader.
