Hale refers to the "hale file" candy made in Trinidad and Tobago, which resembles a rope and can be pulled and stretched out.
Girl's costume consisting of a head piece, suit and hand piece. The head piece is made like a shaved head with a long braid falling from the crown. The suit has a metallic breastplate with black and white straps, the trousers are pink, with a black waistband and stripe down the sides of the legs, which frame an inset white piece. The masquerader holds onto a piece of white rope. The costume is completed by the silver wristbands.
