Description: Sketches of costumes.
Male costume consisting of an elaborate body piece, head piece and suit. The head piece is a tall spiked helmet traditionally worn by temple dancers. The suit consists of a chest plate of medallions worn like armour over the shoulders. The trousers have two layers of puffed legs, fastened at the upper thigh and ending at the knee in a tasseled ribbon. An ornate belt studded with jewels and with an attached loincloth is worn. The body piece is a large series of seven circular wheels made of cones interspersed with long spear like pieces with feathers, shells and shields, enhanced with tassels. Large feather shaped objects project on either side of the hip to the ground.
