Male costume consisting of a suit and head piece, which is traditional of the pagliaccio costume. The head piece is a black skullcap. The costume is all white. The jacket has a large white ruff, virago sleeves with braid at the elbows and cuff ends and pompom buttons. The girdle is blue. A blue garter with a white pompom is worn over the tights. The costume is completed by the white shoes decorated with white pompoms.

Title: Painted Desert

Female costume consisting of a head piece and suit. The head piece is a green painter's hand easel on a helmet with a large paintbrush slashed through. The suit is a blue bikini top with a green bead brooch attached to the front centre. The suit bottom consists of a wide circle skirt in orange, blue, green with an orange frilly underskirt. The masquerader wears a bead necklace and earrings. There is a piece of striped fabric behind the masquerader in the same colours as the skirt but which appears to be shaped like a flag; however there is no pole for a standard.

Title: Palm

Heromyth won Band of the Year in the 1989 carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, suit and cape. The head piece is a tall purple feather with a beaded centre attached to the black helmet which has a gold band around the forehead and two large ear pieces from which hang curls. The suit is a purple bikini, the pants of which have a beaded crotch and attached strings of beads that drape around the back and waist of the masquerader. The necklace is a wide black collar with a gold leaf pattern, very Egyptian looking and to which are attached two beaded strings that drape under the breasts and around the back. The cape is divided into two: an upper purple section and a lower red that are joined by a gold and black leaf border. The costume is finished by gold armbands and white roman sandals.

Description: Two costume. Both female. The first costume has a black band covering the chest with a white skirt with a slit to the front. On the skirt is a green, blue and red striped design. Aound the waist is a band and beads. There are also beads around the neck and on the large earings. On the head is a green wrap with flowers to one side. The other female costume is the same. The only difference that is shown is that the head wrap is blue. To the back of both costumes are palms of hands.

Strike Up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece and train. The back piece is a red, black and white steelpan. The head piece is a helmet beaded in red, black and white with a long silver bead fringe. The costume is a bikini with a beaded cross-over top and red pants. A red and white sash with a tile pattern is worn across the body to which is attached a red train banded in white and a red shawl. The costume is completed by the red beaded white armbands and the knee high white, roman style boots.

Title: Pan Music

Description: Female costume consisting of a back piece, head piece and suit. The whole costume works together to form a set of five steelpans with the masquerader in the middle. The back piece is a large gold tenor pan with a purple, red, orange and green, beaded border, embossed with black musical notes; three large balls are stacked on top, on the back piece. There are four smaller pans on either side of the masquerader, attached to the hips, among which sprout red and white feathers. A bright yellow ribbon with white stars circles the base of the costume. The head piece is a red crown, the middle of which has three gold balls attached to a gold diadem. The suit is a red bikini, the top of which has a triangular shaped collar with gold bead strings circling around the sides to the back and three gold medallions hanging from the bra. A gold belt with flaps and looped gold bead fringe is worn over the pants. The costume is completed by the long, red gloves, knee high red boots with gold embossed pattern on the shins and the thigh high, perforated red stockings.

The head piece is a bishop's hat, predominantly purple, studded with gold beads and with a gold spike on the crown. The tunic is long sleeved, with a gold smock pattern around the neck and open down the sides and the undersides of the sleeves, the pattern is the same as the standard. The suit is a purple catsuit. The costume is completed by the gold boots which have higher backs than fronts.

Title: Peacock Fern

Amarant is the name of a flower reputed to have grown in a secret maze in the legendary city of Atlantis; made up of two dormant butterflies in the form of a flower, only lovers who touch the flower can bring the butterflies to life.
Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece, loincloth and suit. The standard is a black flag with an image of a fern with a centre like a peacock's feather. The head piece is a gold diadem with a pink jewel and a back fan of yellow and green fern leaves. The loincloth is a peacock like leaf on a black background attached to a gold and pink belt and with a green fabric fringe. The suit is a turquoise bikini, the bra of which has a small fabric corsage. The costume is completed by the pink and gold armbands and the gold embossed greaves with green jewels.

Title: Peacock Spider Turquoise

Male costume consisting of a head piece, breastplate and armbands. Silver, white and blue are the dominant colours of this costume. The masquerader wears an elaborate peacock shaped helmet in silver each large outer feather of which is capped with a mother-of-pearl stone and the smaller inner feathers with a cabochon turquoise. Attached to the masquerader's blue armbands are chains capped with large triangular shaped mother-of-pearl stones. There are large turquoise stones suspended from silver chains on the collar of the costume. Light blue arm and calf bands complete the costume.

Title: Peacock [The]

Female costume consisting of a back piece / tail, head piece and suit. The back piece is the peacock's tail consisting of seven large feathers attached to a dark silver background. The head piece is a bi-level crown attached to a silver helmet with small acquamarine feathers over the forehead. The suit is a high necked lilac bikini, the top of which is covered with a feathered necklace and stings of beads which drape around the torso and to the back. Two large feathers are attached to the seat of the costume and fall on either side of the hip. The costume is completed by the white roman style sandals which have a peacock feather at the top and the arm and wristbands which are feathered and have long bead strings suspended.

The body piece consists of a large round plate at the back, flanked by large salt and pepper shakers on either hip, projecting high into the air; each rests on a bed of petals. Petal shaped objects flare out from the hips in a train. The suit is a one piece bathing suit. The loincloth is a series of circles attached to a belt and strings of beads fall from the bodypiece to the belt. The costume is completed by the knee high boots and the fishnet stockings.

The strapless one piece bathing suit is in green and gold. The necklace is a large dark green tear-drop pendant of peridot. A green floor length train is attached to the bathing suit of the masquerader, and green armbands complete the costume.

The necklace is a large teardrop shaped peridot suspended from a gold open work collar. The cape is green as well as the armbands. The suit is a pair of baggy breeches in a light shade of green.

Title: Phantom Rain

Male costume, consisting of a standard, suit and cape. The standard is long silver pole topped by strings of translucent fabric representing rain. The suit is a tribute to the comic book character, "the phantom" and includes a purple helmet lined in gold which is tied under the chin. The masquerader wears a black eye mask. The suit consists of a gold armour chest piece, open at the sides and tucked into the purple and black striped bathing trunks. The belt is patent black with a gold buckle with the image of a skull on it. The red lined cape is attached to the armour and has a purple pattern with gold framed turquoise blue leaves. The costume is completed by the knee high gold boots and the black armbands.

Fireworks won Band of the Year in the 1999 carnival competition.
All sections in this band depict Berkeley's interpretation of an Independence Day fireworks display.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece and cape. The costume consists of a one piece pink bathing suit over which an elaborate gold belt with a beaded fringe is worn. The back piece consists of a circle of alternate pink fronds, long narrow feathers and long beaded spikes attached to a gold ladder-like form. A short gold edged white cape is worn as well as gold armbands. The head piece is a gold diadem to which is attached a gold frame for the face, short white feathers at the crown and topped by long narrow pink feathers. The gold necklace of beads is ended with a long gold tassel. The legbands are gold with pink borders.

Title: Pin Wheel

Female costume consisting of a back piece, head piece and suit. The back piece represents a child's pinwheel toy and consists of a wheel of radiating silver stars on a lilac and white sunburst form with stars attached to the shorter rays; a circle of green feathers completes the back piece. The head piece is a coronet of long green feathers and silver stars. The suit is a lilac one piece bathing suit with sequins and a deep v neckline which ends in an applique of silver stars and strings of beads which are draped around the hips and to the back and fall into a silver skirt effect. The costume is completed by the lilac banded green arm and calfbands and the silver beaded necklace.

Male costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The standard is a black pirate's flag with a white skull and crossbones. The head piece is a red bicorn with a gold edge and large gold feather, a green scarf is worn over the head and knotted at the nape. The masquerader wears a white eyepatch. The suit has a pair of multi-coloured striped trousers tucked into knee high black boots; a gold scarf is tied over the trousers. The costume is completed by the gold wristband made of a wrapped gold scarf and the gold bead necklaces.

All That Jazz placed 3rd in the 1978 Band of the Year carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece, cape and suit. The head piece is a crown. The back piece is a large circle with an image of a fish with a large curled tail. The suit is a scale patterned fish with a long tail curling backwards; fishnet tights are worn under the suit. The cape is a net draped over the masquerader's arm. The costume is completed by the peaked front white boots.

Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The standard is a short pole, striped in red and white and with pink and white ribbons. The suit is a black dress with a white inset piece on the blouse, laced up the front like a corset, detached puffed white sleeves with a pink frill, a pink apron with a gold lace frill, and a multi-coloured patterned skirt frill. The costume is completed by the large gold hoop earrings and the black shoes.

The costume has a green round neck piece that extends down the middle of the body. It also extends to the back of the costume and the extensions are held by both hands. In hand is a black tree design with yellow flowers hanging to the top of it. Falling from the flowers and the drape design are yellow strips of fabric.

The suit consists of a white, black and silver doublet with a bishop sleeve, a laced front bodice which reaches the hip. A silver belt with a gold buckle is also worn. A loose gold waistcoat is worn over the doublet; the same fabric edges its neckline. The costume is completed by the white tights and shoes.

The back piece is a large swan wearing a crown; the tail feathers project in the back and on the sides. The suit consists of a doublet or jacket, puffed pantaloons and tights with a lace edge. The sash is fringed at the end and has a pattern of roses. The cape is long and has a pattern along its edges. The costume is completed by the boots worn by the masquerader and the sword.

Title: Promise of Love

Les Bijoux placed 2nd in the 1997 carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a bikini, head piece, back piece and hand piece. It symbolizes a wedding band which is regarded as a promise of love. The costume is a gold bikini; from the top hang several diamonds and from the white waist girdle is hung a spray of diamonds to which is attached a gold flowing loincloth. The head piece is a short white veil the front of which is decorated with a large white diamond. There are white armbands and the hand held piece resembles a gold celtic knot with white diamonds at the centre and in the surrounding diamond and gold loops. White pearls and gold strips float from the hand held piece. The back piece resembles a ring with diamonds along the sides of the ring, gold claws holding a large pointed diamond at the centre.

Male costume consisting of a standard, back piece, shoulder piece and suit. The standard is a black pole. The back piece is a pair of ragged purple wings which appear to be attached to the arms. The eye mask is gold, the sides of which project to the back of the head. The purple shoulder piece is a short cape like garment with a scalloped hem edged in brown or gold, the neckline has the same edging. The suit is a purple catsuit with a fringed gold belt over it. The costume is completed by the gold wrist and anklebands.

Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece, train and suit. The head piece is a gold helmet, framing the face which rises in sharp points above the masquerader's head and topped with long purple and pink feathers. The back piece is a circular gold ladder structure which is set high on the masquerader's back and to which are attached long narrow feathers in successive colours of lilac, pink and purple which radiate in an arc. The suit is a gold bikini the top of which has a teardop shaped gold and white disc and the an elaborate gold belt with fringe is worn over the pants. The lilac, pink and purple train is attached to the pants. The costume is completed by the gold banded purple armbands and the purple banded gold legbands.

The suit is a pair of black bathing trunks. The masquerader carries a torchlight which emits a pink light.
