Male costume consisting of a head piece, tunic, back piece, suit and light. The head piece is a black and white helmet with an attached eye mask and a pink and white diadem. The tunic is white and black checked. The back piece is made in two: pink, white and black striped arc on one side and another pink arc behind the other shoulder and under the arm. The suit is a pair of black bathing trunks. The masquerader carries a torchlight which emits a pink light.

Description: Female costume consisting of a hand piece, head piece and suit. The head piece is a gold sequinned headband with a large pink feather and a long yellow cord with a tasseled end. The hand piece is a pink umbrella with a gold fringe and a large pink bow on the top. The suit is a flapper type pink dress, fringed across the bodice and on the asymmetrical hem; the bodice has a high neck, beaded in gold and black. The costume is completed by the wide gold wristband and the ballet shoes.

Description: Section in the band: Mirage.
Mirage won the Band of the Year in the 1994 carnival competition.
Male costume depicts a plant which is found in the deserts of Africa which grows singly or as buses and consists of a back piece, loincloth and suit. The ten-leaf back piece represents the leaves of the plant and the colours are irridescent. The loincloth consists of a single large leaf in the same fabric. The wrist bands are banded in green and purple while the calf bands are in lilac, green and purple. The bathing trunks are in green with a purple belt. A string of beads about the masquerader's neck and a gold diadem around the head complete the costume.

Description: Mirage won the Band of the Year in the 1994 carnival competition.
Section in the band: Mirage.
Female costume depicts a plant which is found in the deserts of Africa which grows singly or as buses and is similar to the one worn by the male; it consists of a back piece, hand piece and suit. The masquerader carries a replica of the plant in her hand. She wears gold beads about her neck. The suit is a one piece bathing suit divided into hot pink, purple and green. The single armband is banded in green, purple and green and the calf bands in purple, green and hot pink. A hot pink diadem with a green circle completes the costume.

Description: 1. UNITED KINGDOM - Male costume. Dominant colours are red, yellow, blue and white. The costume has a pair of white pants. The top is divided into for rectangular designs like an ancient army uniform. There are shoulder pieces with drapes falling from them. On the head there is a tall helmet with a fabric falling from it. In hand is the National Flag of the United Kingdom.
2. AUSTRIA - Male costume. Dominant colours are yellow, black and red. The costume has a red pants with a yellow throw over. On the throw over there is a design of a national emblem of a bird. On the head is a crown with yellow and black feathers. In hand is a flag that represents Austria.
3. INDIA - Male costume. Dominant colours are green, red, white and blue. The costume has red pants with a white wrap around the waist and a green piece of fabric to the front. Around the neck is a wide neck piece with a circular design to the front. This circular design is the same as the one on the National Flag. On the head there is a special indian wrap with different fabrics. In hand is the National Flag of India.
4. CANADA - Male costume. Dominant colours are white, red and black. The costume has white pants with a white long top with the canadian leaf on it. Falling from both shoulders are red drapes. On the head is a tall black hat that Canadian Foot Guards wear. In hand is the Natinal Flag of Canada.
5. AMERICA - Male costume. Dominant colours are yellow, red, white and blue. The costume has a yellow pants with an over throw that has red and white stripes. From the shoulders and flowing over the arms are wings. The head piece is made of a bird with a circular design to the top. In hand is the National Flag of America.

Male costume consisting of a standard, suit and cape. The standard is a white pole. The cape is made of shreds of fabric in turquoise, white and purple which hang over the shoulders and then flow into a floor length purple cape in the back. The suit consists of black fishnet stockings with black bathing trunks. The costume is completed by the white wig, moustache and beard worn by the masquerader and the body paint which looks shows skeletal ribs.

Title: Vanished Cathedral

Male costume consisting of a head piece, back piece and suit. The head piece is a helmet with a crown like front, reminiscent of a bishop's mitre. The back piece is a round stained glass window with attached candelabras fitted with candles. The suit consists of a chest piece of linked circles, fitting like a sleeved vest in a vee pattern, falling to the waist. The masquerader wears black tights which are decorated on the thighs in small circular stained glass window patterns. A belt is in the same pattern. The costume is completed by the knee high boots and the arm and wristbands to which are attached pearl strings.

The costume is completed by the yellow, blue and orange banded arm and shinbands.

Title: Venus Goddess of Beauty

Description: Section in the band: Secret of the Stars.
Secret of the Stars won Band of the Year and Peoples' Choice Awards, 1973.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece, train, collar, suit and loincloth. The head piece is a silver, petal like helmet with pink and white feathers, and an arch of white spikes with pink and white beads. The back piece is a pink and white crescent moon with one large white meteor. The collar is curved on the sides with a pattern of large white scales. Strings of white pearls emerge from the neck piece and are attached to the white arm and wristbands on one arm only. The train or body piece consists of two long pink and white panels of ruched fabric, the edges of which are lined in pearls on the underside. The loincloth is a spread of pink and white teardrop shaped panels forming a shell shape. The suit is a sequinned one piece bathing suit worn over black tights. The costume is completed by the beaded white boots.

The back piece has flame like pieces, topped with a dark mass of clouds and long projectiles with small beads, all representing the eruption of the volcano, Vesuvius. The suit is a wide dress, with long sleeves, a long wide attached train with a spiky patterned hem. The neckline of the dress has layers of spikes representing molten lava.

Strike up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a dress, head piece and hand piece. The dress is a backless blue ruffled creation edged in white with a flesh coloured bodysuit underneath. The head piece is a gold coronet with a a peaked front and gold ribbons hanging from the crown. There is a black musical symbol painted onto the side of the suit. The masquerader carries a white violin. The costume is completed by the white armbands adorned with a gold rose and floating gold ribbons above the elbows.
