Pow Wow was designed by Wayne Berkeley for Stephen Lee Heung.
Male costume depicting Native American Indian wear. The head piece is adorned with long white and red feathers forming an arc from the top of the head to the back, the base of which is decorated with red fabric looking like small red flowers; the band of the head piece is beaded in white, black and red with bunches of white feathers held at either ear by a small round beaded medallion. The pants are long and are fringed at the sides. There is a short loincloth that hangs in front of the pants with red and black patterned boaders with fringe to the end. The top is like a waist coat, white with a red and black pattern and three red triangles on either side. There white wrist bands edged with beaded bands in red and black fringed with side feathers.

The suit has a sleeveless black tee-shirt with bands of blue and white. The wide trousers are banded in black, white and a multi-coloured fabric. The head piece is a black fedora with a striped hatband. The costume is completed by the black and white armbands.

The layered skirt and the armbands are both in layers of purple with yellow polka dots and yellow fabric. The female costume is completed by the yellow rose spray in the hair and the yellow rose choker that the masquerader wears.

Male costume consisting of a back piece and costume. The back piece is a very tall feather, one side of which is green and the others yellow with orange tips, extending high above the masquerader's head. There is a simple diadem worn on the head with a triangular orange pattern. The suit is a blue sleeveless t-shirt with an orange and yellow pattern. An orange, blue and yellow sarong is worn around the waist and knotted on one hip. There are silver lower armbands, the upper ones are orange and green scarves tied around the arm. The costume is completed by knee length silver boots.

The wrap skirt has thin stripes of different colours with a flowered design bordering the bottom. The top is a wrap that forms an X across the chest. There is a head wrap that is designed with flowers to one side. To the back of the costume there is a large circle that is decorated with three flowers on one side.

The back piece consists of several parts: long white feather boas hanging to the knees, a gold beaded fan shaped object, more feathers and a tall arched gold piece rising high above the masquerader. The train is a set of the white feather boas. The suit is a gold sequinned mini dress with a fringe. The costume is completed by the fringed gold gloves and the boots.

Amarant won Band of the Year in the 1998 carnival competition.
Amarant is the name of a flower reputed to have grown in a secret maze in the legendary city of Atlantis; made up of two dormant butterflies in the form of a flower, only lovers who touch the flower can bring the butterflies to life.
Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The standard is a black flag with an image of a dandelion and a lion's head as the stamen. The head piece is a crown of yellow petals and flowers. The suit is a one piece, cold-shouldered bathing suit in yellow, green and black bands. The costume is completed by the green armband with long yellow and green fringe and the embossed gold greaves on the shins.

Title: Danger in the Deep

Description: Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece, train and suit. The head piece is a gold helmet with white and purple pearls, a fringe of pearls and back crown of wavy plumes. The back piece is very elaborate, consisting of several large corals such as sea fans and sea weed in gold, red and blue; included is a large red octupus caught in a fishing net and wrapped around the masquerader and a large purple clam expulsing strings of pearls and a large starfish. The train is tiered, purple and edged in red with a frothy white wave at the sides of the skirt and a white coral pattern on the tiers. The suit is a purple bathing suit with one long sleeve that is embellished with gold and white starfish and pearls; the front of the suit is also decorated the same way, with a belt of starfish and dangling pearls. The costume is completed by the fishnet stockings worn by the masquerader and the gold and white greaves on the shins.

Title: Dark Moon

Female costume consisting of a head piece, standard, cape, loincloth and suit. The standard is a striped dark and light blue and white pennant on a white pole. The head piece is a silver and white helmet with a silver fringe and a high coronet on the forehead, from which projects a white spray of beads, offsetting a blue moon shaped piece at the back. The suit is a white, one piece bathing suit with three asymmetrical blue stripes, a pair of light blue pants over the suit and a light blue loincloth tucked into the pants. The cape is blue with light blue and white stripes at the hem. The costume is completed by the light and drk blue and white, banded arm and legbands.
Section in the band: New Moon.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, suit and stole. The head piece consists of multi-coloured feather boas decorated with beads. The suit is in two pieces: a strapless bodice made of layers of orange, pink and yellow swatches of fabric. The skirt is made of larger pieces of the same fabric, with an asymmetrical hem. The stole is black with swirls of the same colour. The costume is completed by the long black gloves.

The costume is completed by the red studded arm and wristbands and the knee high red boots with a gold peaked tops.

Title: Deluge

Description: Female costume consisting of a head piece, over skirt and suit. The head piece is a silvery white helmet with a curly crown, resembling a feather boa, topping a peaked front that falls on the forehead and white bobbles falling down the side of the face to the shoulders. The suit is a white bikini which is heavily beaded, the bra of which has a teardop shaped fringe and strings of white pearls draped around the sides to the back with a single tassel in the bra front. The pants are held in place by an embossed silvery belt with bead fringe. There is a sheer white, beaded over skirt worn over the pants. The costume is completed by the sheer, three puffed detached sleeves, separated by white ribbons and with feathers around the amigauts or arm holes.

Female costume consisting of a head piece, robe, standard and suit. The standard is a fan in turquoise blue with a royal blue frill and white floral design; ribbons in both blues hang down the base of the fan. The head piece is a transparent veil worn over the face and attached to a blue jewelled diadem which has a blue fan shape at the back of the head. The suit is a blue bikini; the pants are worn under a silver and blue belt with a blue loincloth. The robe is similar to a Bedouin's robes, white, fringed in white with a hem border in a blue American Indian pattern.

Male costume consisting of a standard and suit, reminiscent of the American armed forces uniforms worn in the "Desert Storm" war against Iraq. The standard is a tri-pennant flag with white stars on a blue background, camouflage and red and white stripes. The suit consists of a khaki cap with an eagle image on the crown. The masquerader wears a sleeveless white t-shirt with a red edge around the neck and armholes and a wide red stripe on the chest. The trousers are in camouflage fabric worn under a black belt with a silver eagle impressed image on the buckle. The masquerader wears calf high black boots and white banded blue armbands. The costume is completed by the black sling across the torso which holds a black rifle carried on the back.

Male costume consisting of a back piece, necklace and cape. The masquerader wears a collar with a dark blue gemstone suspended from gold slats. A dark blue cape is part of the costume. The focal point of the costume is the large circular back piece (the necklace) which consists of two concentric circles with gold bars and interspersed diamonds on a herringbone pattern. The belt has a gold herringbone pattern and the costume is completed by silver armbands, gold calf bands in an embossed ball pattern complete the costume.

Berkeley: Cirque des Follies is a great mixture of costumes and situations, taken from the Follies Bergere and influenced by the 'Cirque du Soleil'. All the costumes are pure fantasy, and do not relate to any given place or time. It is more like a spectacle, a show of costumes, and in some way relates to jewelry.

Male costume consisting of a standard, mask and loincloth. The mask is white, cat-eyed shaped with blue and silver fringe falling behind the ears and a tall blue feather extending from the centre of the nose bridge into the air. The standard is a blue and silver fringed circle on a white pole. The loincloth is ragged hemmed, blue with a silver edge worn over a pair of blue bathing trunks and with silver fringe. The costume is completed by the blue wristbands with silver fringe and the blue calfbands.

Title: Drum Majorette

Strike Up the Band won Band of the Year in the 1993 carnival competition.
Strike Up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a drum majorette's suit and a standard. The standard is black with purple and gold stripes and a gold ball on the top. The head piece consists of a purple shako or tall hat with a gold and purple brim and gold chin scales with a small gold feather attached to the side. The suit is a one piece gold bathing suit with a purple edged deep v neckline and gold fringed epaulettes. There is a small tiered gold train edged in purple attached to the seat of the suit. The costume is completed by the peaked front, knee high boots and the gold banded purple wristbands.

Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The masquerader has a long baton in her hand and the head piece is a tall red kepi with white plumes extending upwards. The main costume is a military looking one-piece red bathsuit with a frilly white train edged in red attached to the seat of the uniform and falling to the knees. The front of the suit is banded in white with gold buttons. The masquerader wears gold braid epaulettes, looped and falling from one side of the chest to a fringed loop at the hips. The dominant colours are black and white with touches of black. The masquerader wears white and black gauntlets edged in gold. Indians is Wayne Berkeley's earliest band.
Male costume consisting of a standard, head piece, collar and chest piece and suit. The standard consists of brown, leather look fringe on a short baton. The head piece is a black and white patterned diadem with orange and white feathers attached behind. The collar is purple with an edge in orange, brown and white stripes and brown dots; a chest and back piece is attached to the collar and decorated in orange with brown, black and white circles, a black and white edge and white fringe. The suit is a pair of black bathing trunks. The costume is completed by the orange edged black and white arm and shinbands with purple pompoms.

Description: Section in the band: Strike Up the Band.
Strike Up the Band won Band of the Year in the 1993 carnival competition.
Strike Up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a drum majorette's suit and a drum. The head piece is a red newsboy cap with a white feather, looped gold braid and a gold flower attached to it. The suit consists of a gold, red and black striped v-shaped tunic with gold and white epaulettes, tucked into the white mini skirt. A white bra top is worn under the narrow tunic. The skirt is white, flared and a gold belt is worn over it. The costume is completed by the knee high white boots, white and gold wristbands and the red, white and gold drum that the masquerader carries on a gold banded white drum belt. A gold coat-of-arms is impressed on the drum.

Title: Durango Cactus

Description: A section in the band: Mirage.
Mirage won the Band of the Year in the 1994 carnival competition.
Male costume consisting of a head piece, shoulder piece and suit. The head piece is a simple green cactus on a gold diadem. The shoulder piece consists of tall green cacti attached to black and white shoulder and underarm rings. The suit consists of green baggy breeches with the white cacti flowers, held together with a gold belt, tucked into knee high black boots. The costume is completed by green armbands, puffy at the upper arms and tight from elbow to wrist.
The cactus is called, "rachette" in Trinidad and Tobago.
