Female costume consisting of a back piece, head piece, shoulder piece and suit. The back piece is a black filgree face wearing spectacles and a moustache. The head piece is a white diadem with a side fringe of beads. The shoulder piece is a beaded lattice, closely fitted at the neck and with a long feathery and beaded fringe. The suit is a black bikini; a long fringed belt is worn over the pants. The costume is completed by the single white wristband and the knee high white boots with a beaded top.

Title: Fairy Queen [The]

Description: Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece, train and suit. The head piece is a gold and white coronet with gold petal like forms turned downwards. The back piece consists of gold circles interspersed with stars and a crescent moon at the top of the circle. There is a pair of blue irridescent wings attached to the circles. The suit consists of a blue bodice with an elbow length, puffed, slit sleeve; a white ruff is attached to the neckline of the bodice which has a gold embroidered front and a pale blue petal like skirt, each edged in gold. The masquerader wears gold tights under the suit. The costume is completed by the long blue train with an overskirt of white sheer fabric.

Title: Fan Dancer

Description: Section in the band: Heromyth.
Male costume consisting of a back piece and suit. The back piece is a set of nine striped fans in decreasing sizes, in the colours - yellow, red, blue, pink, purple and green towering high above the head. The head piece is a simple v shaped white diadem. The suit is a pair of purple bathing trunks worn under a tunic like garment consisting of multicoloured fabric strips attached to the middle front of a white choker and then falling down the centre of the body to the hips where they are draped around and fastened in the back as well as a string of white pearls also attached to the choker and falling under the arms. The wristbands consist of knotted scarves one in lilac and the other in blue, while the upper armbands are multicoloured bands in lilac, orange, blue and white. The costume is completed by the white roman sandals.

Berkeley: Cirque des Follies is a great mixture of costumes and situations, taken from the Follies Bergere and influenced by the 'Cirque du Soleil'. All the costumes are pure fantasy, and do not relate to any given place or time. It is more like a spectacle, a show of costumes, and in some way relates to jewelry.

The standard is an orange Chinese ceramic bowl with a purple interior, placed upside down on the pole, with brown hanging pieces resembling bean sprouts. The head piece is the same upside down bowl. The suit is a Chinese styled cheongsam bodice in blue, with an orange neckline, pink edged sleeves and Chinese characters in two white circles on the chest and a gold fringe on the hem. The suit includes purple tights. The costume is completed by the brown boots.

The costume is a turquoise bikini with a silver tassel hanging from the bra and an embossed silver belt over the pants. The cape is silver lined in turquoise. The costume is completed by the silver banded blue leg and armbands.

Female costume consisting of a back piece, head piece, suit and train. The back piece is a fan-shaped form of red, yellow and black flames, topped with a black arch then a tall crest of red and yellow feathers. The head piece is a gold helmet with flames framing the face, a gold ball on the crown which holds long red and yellow fronds. The suit is a red and gold bikini with an elaborate embossed pattern and fringed and beaded hems on both pieces. Red and gold feathers are attached to the hips of the pants. A long red and gold train is also attached to the back seat of the pants. The costume is completed by the red banded yellow arm and calfbands; red and gold feathers are attached to the upper armbands.

The suit is a red bikini, the top of which has a high neck with a flame pattern falling onto the chest and echoed in the mock loincloth attached to the pants. The costume is completed by the knee high red boots and the gold bead arm and wristbands which are connected to each other by gold bead strings.

Title: Fire of the Phoenix

The neck / shoulder piece consists of wide orange, red and gold, beaded feathers which frame the masquerader's head, face and bust, forming a petal like form that curves downward covering the masquerader's groin. The backpiece frames the masquerader's body in feathers of peach, orange, red, beaded on the edges and scattered throughout. The suit appears to be a flesh coloured piece worn under a red jewel studded, metal, perforated breast plate.

Title: Fire Opals

Les Bijoux placed 2nd in the 1997 carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a hand piece, back piece and one piece bathing suit. The costume is irridescent with sequins that give the effect of the multicoloured fire opals. The backiece is a large circle with a dark circular core. The hand piece is a shield with a cameo image of a woman in the centre, the main colour of which is lilac and from which is suspended three fire opals joined by chains and beads. The body suit is a one piece cold-shouldered bathing suit that is also sequinned and which has one dark blue asymmetrical stripe running from the waist on one side to the shoulder on the other. Nine fire opals are suspended from one shoulder to the ground. The costume is completed by the armbands and the dark blue mantle draped around the figure.

Female costume consisting of a head piece, back piece and suit. The back piece is very elaborate, shaped like feathers, with a pale gold background and beaded in pink, blue, lilac and gold. Gold shooting stars on long projectiles are interspersed among the feathers from a gold back piece. The head piece is a silver helmet topped with a crown of pink and long gold narrow feathers. The suit is a one piece pink bathing suit with a gold beaded bra with a gold tassel and a gold embossed belt worn over the pants. A long gold bead fringe hangs from the hips. The costume is completed by the white banded gold armbands and the similarly coloured knee high gold boots.

The loincloth is a series of gold edged green, rectangular strips of varying lengths and held up with a studded gold belt. The costume is completed with green banded gold armbands and white knee high boots.

Strike Up the Band won Band of the Year in the 1993 carnival competition.
Strike Up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a flamenco dancer's suit. The suit is in three pieces: bra top, skirt and armbands. The bra is blue, unadorned. The armbands and skirt are both in the same style, fabric and colour: cut in tiers like a flamenco dancer's skirt. The fabrics are black with a predominantly pink floral pattern, pink and white. The masquerader has a Spanish comb on the hair, worn on the crown and carries a pair of castanets.

Title: Flaring Flagwavers

Description: Section in the band: Trapeze.
Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The standard is a very large pennant in blue, orange and yellow attached to a short pole. The gold head piece is in three parts: a gold helmet framing the face, a piece atop that with sun-like rays and finally large gold feathers on the crown. The suit is a two-piece bikini the top of which is yellow with a flared hem with gold bells. The pants are covered by a loincloth type skirt in a triangular shape in black, orange, yellow and blue with the jingle bell hem. Long yellow feathers are attached to the seat of the pants like a tail. The costume is completed by yellow boots with yellow armbands.
The costume is reminiscent of the Trinidad and Tobago "flagwoman" who carries the flags and banners for steelbands.

Female and male costumes. The female costume consists of a headpiece and suit. The head piece is a helmet with a large basket spilling fruit and leaves; the suit is a long sleeved ball gown with an overskirt that has a patterned hem and a high neck with a pattern, the masquerader carries a wide mouthed cup in one hand and a horn of fruit in the other. The male costume consists of a head piece, back piece and suit. The back piece consists of wings. The head piece is a centurion style helmet with a feathered crest. The suit is a tunic with a collar while the back piece is a pair of wings. The male costume appears to have a long train attached.

Title: Flowers

Heromyth won Band of the Year in the 1989 carnival competition.
Female costume which consists of a head piece, back piece and suit. The suit is a floor length dress slit at both sides with a multi-coloured triangular pattern running down its centre and banded in white. The head piece is a large yellow flower shaped helmet. The back piece are differently coloured decreasing sized fowers on a long pole rising high above the masquerader's head. The armbands are green and gold strips of fabric.

Title: Flowers Grow [The]

Raining was created for London carnival, 1992.
Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece and suit. The standard is a tall, silver fringed piece, interspersed with five flowers, from large to small, in orange and pink. The head piece is a floral comb worn on the side of the head and from which float white ribbons. The suit appears to be a white strapless bikini, the top of which is covered in long white fringe; the pants are white. The costume is completed by the white fringed upper armbands, decorated with small flowers and the white armbands.

Title: Flying Trapeze

Description: Section in the band: Trapeze.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, cape and suit. The head piece is a gold pirate's scarf with a gold diadem over it and several large pink fronds attached to the front of the diadem. A pink cape flows from one shoulder of the masquerader. The pink bathing suit has a deep V neckline to the waist, the vee of which is edged in gold braid and finished with a gold medallion at the navel. An elaborate gold pendant keeps the two sides of the top together. The bikini pants consists of an ornate gold belt under which a gold beaded loincloth hangs. A long gold sash is attached to one side of the hip. The armbands are pink mesh topped in a gold armlet with gold bead strings. Knee high gold boots complete the costume.

Description: Female costume consisting of a head piece, suit and train. The head piece is a black helmet with a black beaded crown to which is attached a yellow beaded feather crest. The suit is a one piece black bathing suit with a gold and black beaded, high neck. The train is made up of yellow fabric attached to the seat of the costume and then to the sequinned wrist and armbands.

Title: Follies

Description: Section in the band: Cirque des Follies.
Band created for St Maarten carnival 1997.
Cirque des Follies won Band of the Year in the 1997 carnival competition.
Berkeley: Cirque des Follies is a great mixture of costumes and situations, taken from the Follies Bergere and influenced by the 'Cirque du Soleil'. All the costumes are pure fantasy, and do not relate to any given place or time. It is more like a spectacle, a show of costumes, and in some way relates to jewelry.
Female costume consisting of a back piece, head piece and suit. The back piece is made of two arcs of brown or smoky topaz coloured feathers on a gold ladder like frame, the smaller closer to the back and the larger projecting high above the masquerader, the base of the arcs are studded with jewels. The silver head piece is a turban embellished with purple roses, a sequinned butterfly, silver feathers and strings of pearls. The suit consists of a sequinned silver bra top. A silver pearl sash is worn across the body, with purple roses and a silver pearl cluster attached to one shoulder which ends in a bow at the other hip and is similarly decorated. The suit is completed by a wide pannier style skirt with three tiers: in white drapes, a white and black tic tac toe pattern tier and finally a white underskirt with a large black rose pattern on the hem. The costume is finished with a wide white bracelet and a silver necklace.

The head piece is a black diadem with a gold peacock feather on the front. The tunic is black with a large gold peacock feather print. The suit is a pair of multi-colour, striped, baggy trousers. The costume is completed by the multi-coloured armbands and the white boots.

There is piece of fabric falling to the backof the costume that resembles a cape. On the head there is a tall helmet with feathers falling out of it. In hand is a blue flag with yellow french symbols on it.
12. THAILAND - Male costume. Dominant colours are pink, gold and yellow. The costume has a pink pants with a gold design around the waist and neck. On the head there is a tall gold crown. In hand is a pink and yellow flag.
13. SCOTLAND - Male costume. Dominant colours are white, red, green and black. The costume has a white pants with a black shirt. Over the black shirt there are two sashes that make an X across the chest. There is a red and green patterned skirt. On the head is a furred hat. In hand is a red and white flag with a circular design in the middle.
14. VATICAN - Male costume. Dominant colours are white, red and yellow. The costume has a white pants and a red top. Over the top is a red circular design with a rectangular piece of fabric around the neck hanging over both shoulders. There is a long cape that runs to the back of the costume. The head piece is a hat that Catholic priest's normally wear. In hand is a yellow and white flag.
15. GHANNA - Male costume. Dominant colours are black, green, red and yellow. The costume has a black pants with a rectangular over throw. On the head is a bucket shaped hat that has a yellow feather to the side. In hand is the National Flag of Ghana.

Strike Up the Band won Band of the Year in the 1993 carnival competition.
Strike Up the Band was inspired by George Gershwin's work of the same name.
Female costume consisting of a head piece, dress and a french horn. The colours are inspired by the tri-couleur of the French flag: red, white and blue. The dress is white, sequinned with an asymmetrical fringe in the three colours. The head piece is a red beret with a large white pom pom on the crown. The costume is completed by the white sequinned armbands and the silver french orn that the masquerader carries, looped with silver cords.

The costume is completed by the red, white and blue banded armbands.

Fire and Ice was designed for St Maarten Carnival, 1998.
Fire and Ice won Band of the Year in the 1998 St Maarten carnival competition.
Female costume consisting of a standard, head piece, train and suit. The standard is a white and blue feathered fan decorated with irridescent sequins on a white pole. The head piece is a silvery white and blue helmet of spikes with a feathered crest attached to a silver metal filigree base, small bead fringes fall on either side of the face. The train is made of multiple tiers of white ruffles, blue edged, attached to a chevron shaped blue and white banded belt with a silver bead fringe. The suit is an irridescent white bikini, the bra of which is decorated with a bead brooch. The costume is completed by the white armbands.

The costume is completed by the gold wrist and anklebands, one of which has a long fringe.

Male costume consisting of a back piece, tunic, mask and suit. The back piece is a large, wide face, painted with an asian inspiration. The eye mask is white. The head piece is a white helmet fastened under the chin, with a wide purple stripe from the temple to the nape. The tunic is a purple and white tied dyed fabric, gathered at the neck, attached to the wrists and draped around the body. The costume is completed by the white banded purple arm and wristbands and the knee high white boots, banded in purple.

The head piece is a white diadem to which is attached a crescent moon with cobalt blue feathers, framing one side of the face. The suit is a white bikini the top of which has strings of pearls hanging from the bra centre around the body to the back and the pants of which has a short tasseled loincloth. The costume is completed by the blue and white banded arm and shinbands.
